information sheets, thanks to Nancy Hansen, were distributed. Becky reported
that Bev is now a full voting member. There are two alternate positions to
fill. In addition, volunteers are needed for the fall survey.
Minutes: April 14 meeting minutes, written by Bev
Connolly, were accepted with this correction: the amount in the treasurer’s
report was $3,638.20 as of the April meeting date instead of $3,730 for the
month ending March 31.
Treasury Report:
Nancy Hansen reported the April 30 balance as $3588.20. The Heritage Fund
balance is $3,481.70.
BUSINESS:
Survey of
Historical Resources: Stratham
has approximately 240 buildings older than 50 years to be surveyed. Becky will
be meeting with Mary Kate Ryan at the DHR to review the survey manual. There is
a possibility of joint newspaper publicity with
76ers: Becky and Chuck Grassie spoke on the survey and the
Gateway Project to the 76ers Club, held at the fire station. Several people in
attendance offered to help with the survey and provide other historic
background information.
Postcard
Project: Bev will be
meeting with Chuck Grassie this week to select photos for postcards.
NEW BUSINESS:
Planning Board: On June 3, there will be a meeting of
Announcement: The Scamman Farm Conservation Easement consists of 200 acres. Becky supplied Brian Hart of the Southeast Land Trust with a copy of the 1999 survey of the Scamman farm so that he could use it to prepare the application for a grant from the Farm and Ranchland Protection Program.
