Summertime... and the Reading is Easy |
We welcome all families to join in the fun of summer at the Wiggin Memorial Library. We have activities planned for kids from late June
to mid-August. You can find the highlights here on this page and the full library events list is available at our Events Calendar at

REGISTRATION: You must register for summer activities so that we know how many participants to prepare for. Registration is IN-PERSON and begins on JUNE 15 and ends on JUNE 29 in the CHILDREN'S ROOM.

Baby Lapsit: Tuesdays, 10:30 a.m. June 30 - Aug 18
The program is geared to parents/caregivers and babies (birth to 17-months-old). Join us for a fun time of music rhymes, rhythm, fingerplays, bounces/wiggles/tickles,
and baby-friendly picture books. The program lasts for approximately 25 minutes followed by time to socialize.
*NOTE*: NO baby lapsit on 7/21 and 7/28. |

Summer Story Times: Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. July 1 - 29
The program is geared to parents/caregivers and kids 18-months-old to 4/5 years old. (going into kindergarten in fall 2009 would be in the elementary group).
Join us for a fun time of stories, activites and crafts. The program lasts for approximately 45 minutes. Parents/caregivers need to attend this program
with their child. REGISTER June 15 - June 29.

Reading Education Assistance Dogs®: Tuesdays, 10:15 a.m.-12:25 p.m. June 30 - August 18, Hannah or Maizie

with their child and SIGN UP for a time slot in the children's room.
*NOTE*: NO READ dogs on 7/21 and 7/28
Reading Buddies: Tuesdays, 2 p.m.-3 p.m. June 30 - August 11
Younger children (toddlers through elementary grades) will be paired up with older children (upper elementary, middle-schoolers and high-schoolers) to
read together, do simple crafts, and play games. Refreshments will be served. Please alert us to any allergies. Parents/caregivers need to remain in the library
during this program and SIGN UP for a time slot in the children's room. |

All programs below last approximately 1 hour. Parents/caregivers must remain in the library during the program. All children aged 10 and under must be supervised
by an adult or caregiver 16 years old or older. Caregivers must have contact information for an adult who is legally responsible for the child(ren). REGISTER

Knit-Wits:
Wednesdays, 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. July 1 - July 29
Ages: Entering 2nd - 5th grade in Fall 2009, Middle-school, High-school. Knitters at all skill levels (including beginner) are welcome!
This group will create projects for themselves, others, and a good cause (the NHSPCA). Bring your own needles & supplies or use ours.
