     This pathfinder is designed to help job seekers locate information related to career planning.  It points to resources held at the library as well as to resources available on the Internet and in the local community.

America's Job Bank
http://www.ajb.org allows job seekers to search a database of over one million jobs natonwide, create and post a resume online, and set up an automated job search.  Part of an award-winning suite of web-based tools developed by the U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with the states and private sector organizations.

America's Career InfoNet
http://www.acinet.org/acinet/ contains information on wage and employment trends, occupational requirements, and state-by-state labor market conditions.  Its online career resource library contains over 5,000 keyword searchable links. Part of an award-winning suite of web-based tools developed by the U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with the states and private sector organizations.

Best Jobs New Hampshire 
http://www.bestjobsnewhampshire.com/ lets you search by location, job category and keyword to find the "best job" for you.  Includes company profiles and allows job seekers to place resumes online for potential employers to view.

New Hampshire Employment Security web site http://www.nhes.state.nh.us/ contains information on unemployment benefits, economic and industry information about New Hampshire, and a calendar of job fairs around the state.

EDjobsNH.com
http://www.edjobsnh.com is the Official job vacancy site Of the New Hampshire School Administrators Association.  All official postings of the school districts are listed including teaching, administrative, secretarial, and custodial positions.

Job Hunters Bible.com
http://www.jobhuntersbible.com/ supplements the 2000 ed. of What Color is Your Parachute? : A Practical Manual for Job-Hunters and Career-Changers by 
Richard N. Bolles.  Includes interactive career and personality tests, links to articles on job hunting, and reviews of various Internet sites for job hunters.

The Riley Guide
http://www.rileyguide.com/ is Richard Bolles' favorite gateway job site on the web.  A directory of employment and career information sources and services on the Internet, it features step-by-step instructions on resume writing.

Effective Interviewing: the Virtual Interviewing Assistant http://www.ukans.edu/cwis/units/coms2/via/index.html will help job seekers with all aspects of the interviewing process.

Newpapers & Periodicals
For classified ads, check the library's newspaper collection.  The library has print versions of the following newspapers.  You can also access the online editions by clicking on the links below: The August 2002 issue of Kiplinger's personal finance (ISSN 1528-9729) features a cover story called "Dream jobs."  The magazine interviews nine individuals who get paid to do what they love most.

To find other magazine articles related to careers and job hunting, you can search the Ebsco Magazine, Journal and Newspaper databases. For a description of each one of these databases, click on the "Need Help?" link in the upper right corner of the screen.  For General periodical searches, choose "Ebscohost Web."  You will then be directed to a list of databases from which to choose.  MasterFILE Premier, the most general database, contains the full text of over 1,900 periodicals and is a great place to begin your search.
